Light My Fire

From The Doors (1967)

History

Written primarily by Robby Krieger, "Light My Fire" became The Doors' signature song and their only number-one hit. Its extended instrumental break, featuring Manzarek's organ solo, was revolutionary for the time. It was famously censored on the Ed Sullivan Show for Morrison's refusal to change the line "Girl, we couldn't get much higher."
